A magical two-night Hogmanay escape

Celebrate Hogmany in true Scottish style at our historic castle hotel with fabulous food, fizz and everything in between.

The magic begins when you arrive on New Year's Eve. Freshen up in your room, then descend for a fabulous Festive Afternoon Tea, followed by a drinks reception with Prosecco and canapés.

In the evening, take your seats for an opulent Gala Dinner showcasing the finest Scottish produce. Then take to the floor for a traditional ceilidh before celebrating 'bringing in the bells' with a glass of Champagne and a piper at midnight with fireworks to welcome in 2027.

After a well-deserved sleep in one of our boutique dreaming dens, relax on New Year's Day with a late brunch. The rest of the day is yours to spend on our estate or further afield, before returning for a leisurely dinner in our restaurant.

It's time for fond farewells on 2 January 2027 after a Full Scottish Breakfast.

Pack your pup, too!

Dogs can enjoy a festive stay with you too, at a cost of £20 per pooch per night (up to two well-behaved dogs in selected rooms). Dog stays must be pre-booked. Please call us on 0131 654 0088 to request a dog-friendly room when you make your booking. Unfortunately, if you arrive having packed a pup without booking, we may not be able to accommodate you.

All pups will receive a Hound Bag tote filled with useful accessories for their stay, including a tennis ball, poo bags, dog treats and a walking map featuring routes local to the hotel.

31 December – New Year's Eve

Arrive from 15:00 to a warm welcome.
Festive Afternoon tea for two.
Drinks reception with Prosecco and canapés.
Opulent Gala Dinner.
Take to the floor for our traditional ceilidh.
Glass of Champagne and a traditional piper to 'bring in the bells' on the countdown to midnight.
Fireworks at midnight.
When the celebrations end, retire to your boutique dreaming den for a well-earned slumber.

1 January 2027

Relax on New Year's Day with a late brunch.
Spend the rest of your day exploring our estate or venturing further afield.
Return for a leisurely dinner in our restaurant.

2 January 2027 – Farewells

Full Scottish Breakfast.
Fond farewells, with checkout at 11:00.

Terms & Conditions

Price is based on two people sharing.
Non-refundable deposit of 25% is required on booking.
You can cancel/modify your reservation up to 56 days prior to arrival date but note that the 25% deposit is strictly non-refundable.
A penalty of the entire stay including tax will be charged for late cancellation/modification (with less than 56 days' notice prior to arrival date), or no-show and early departure.
Balance to be paid at the property.
Full payment is required at time of check-in.
Credit card number with valid expiry date and security code is required as security on check in to guarantee your reservation.
The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
All packages are offered subject to availability.
Package includes a two-night B&B stay for two; on New Year's Eve, a welcome Festive Afternoon Tea per person, Prosecco and canapes, Gala dinner followed by entertainment, glass of Champagne per person at Midnight; 1 January brunch (served 09:00-11:00), dinner in our restaurant (£40.00 per person dining allowance); 2 January 2027 Full Scottish Breakfast with check-out at 11:00.
Any additional costs incurred will be charged separately and added to your room account, which must be settled prior to departure.
Dogs must be booked in advance to ensure that an appropriate dog-friendly room can be allocated.
Dogs will be charged separately at the standard daily dog stay fee applicable on the dates of the stay.
Most dog-friendly rooms accommodate a maximum of one dog.
We recommend that you take out appropriate levels of travel insurance to cover your costs in the event of you needing to cancel your booking.
